HELLO! back from a loooong weekend. the instrument course on saturday was AMAZING. really. the guy called toru miura( short, round, funny) played his euphonium like.. well.. something that wasnt a euphonium. okay, that was stupid, but really. im SPEECHLESS. apparently, EU means well, and PHONE means sound, so euphonium means WELL SOUNDING INSTRUMENT. hahahaha. =). the guy played a lot of songs from this (super-expensive) eupho karaoke book. there was a cd which played background music, and the book had eupho solo parts in it. SO NICE. the course lasted 3 hours, just enough for him to go through the basics and how to clean the instrument. then after that I had to go swimming.. (for which I was an hour late because of the course, YAY)
SUNDAY. went for the time trials at toa payoh. did 50 breast and 50 free.. improved by a few seconds for each. then my dad wanted me and my bro to do 100 back and 100 fly, but we didnt want to.. so we said we hadnt trained enough yet. so my dad was all mad and took us home immediately. that sucked, considering I really HADNT been training to do the 100s.. BLAAAH. then the whole day my dad was in a foul mood. oh well. after the comp we went to my grandma's house where we ate. then my aunt and her boyfriend took us out to east coast park to rollerblade (my bro was on his skate scooter). my blade strap broke AGAIN. so now its been sent for repair, AGAIN. argh. anyway, we went from the car park all the way to the cable-skiing place. there we drank water and watched the cable skiiers do their stuff. it was COOL. haha. then we skated back. TIRED. went home, aunt and 'uncle' came over to eat sushi.
